The average insurance premium for a homeowner's policy in Arizona held fairly steady between 2004 and 2007.
That's according to information just released by National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
According to the study, the average homeowner insurance premium in Arizona was $642 in 2004, dropping slightly to $634 in 2007.
The research says that between those years, homeowner premiums went up or down 1 percent or less each year.
During the same period, the average renter insurance premium decreased more than 12 percent, from $227 in 2004 to $200 in 2007.
The executive director of the Arizona Insurance Council, Ron Williams, attributes the trends to fewer claims and loses for insurance companies. |
